Hi! We're Emily and Darren, Ann Arbor locals and proud parents of two sweet little ones. We're also the founders of Curb Crew, a family-owned mobile mechanic service.
For our family, cars have always been more than just a way to get around. They represent freedom, connection, and shared experiences. Whether it's a road trip or just getting through a busy week, a reliable vehicle is key to making life work. But we also know that car maintenance can be time-consuming, stressful, and can take away from what matters most: your time and your family.
That's why we started Curb Crew. We bring expert auto service directly to you, so you don't have to spend hours waiting in a shop. We take pride in solving problems so you can focus on your day, knowing your car is in great hands.

Our Lead Engineer
Meet Darren
Darren has spent over 25 years in the automotive world, starting in high school auto shop and building a career rooted in hands-on experience, problem-solving, and doing the job right.
He trained at Universal Technical Institute while gaining real-world experience in dealerships and service centers, then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology from Southern Illinois University.
Darren later joined Ford Motor Company, where he supported technicians globally with complex diagnostics and repair solutions. As a Field Service Engineer, he worked directly with dealerships to solve difficult vehicle issues and ensure repairs were done right the first time. He also contributed to major vehicle launches, including the Ford Bronco and Ranger.
Today, Darren brings that same level of expertise directly to your driveway focusing on honest service, clear communication, and work you can trust.
